Living in Chicago, this is no surprise. People walking towards you will veer right in front of you and run right into you. I've also seen people mindlessly walk into traffic. I am always surprised we don't hear about more people getting hit by cars while texting.

Amen! The employee didn't know the child has a disability, and there's no accusation that the employee still said to take off the shoes after finding out. The mother is overblowing things to an absurd degree just to get attention.
